Locally foraged, ethical smoke sticks

For some time I’ve contemplated the ethicality of burning white sage and palo santo. Upon researching into this trend that has encompassed new age ideologies I found that, for the majority of us, it isn’t so savvy to use these plants for the energy clearing purposes that they are marketed as. From southern California to Mexico Salvia apiana or White Sage has been used in ceremony to cleanse, purify and for prayer. In Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina and Peru. Bursera graveolens (Palo Santo) is used by shamans to also cleanse and ward off evil spirits. Palo Santo in Spanish means “holy stick”.

I personally resonate strongly with the use of smoke in cleansing ceremonial space, so I thought about how I could create an ethical option for these purposes. I’ve been growing and gently (with permission of course) harvesting the leaves of medicinal and energetically profound plants to bound together for the intent to energetically cleanse space.

These will be available to purchase here; It is my pleasure to offer these creations to you.
